Presentations

Are you interested in making a difference for future software engineers? The first mandate of CUSEC is to set the ideal stage for rich and diverse exchanges among Software Engineers. CUSEC offers three types of presentations which target specific aspects of Software Engineering knowledge.

Keynote Speakers

The Keynote address is the instrument through which the tone of the conference is set. One could read the list of past CUSEC presenters as one would read a list of nominees at the "Software Engineering Oscars". On this list, the names of renowned "Software Engineering Stars" such as: David Parnas, Craig Larman, Philippe Krutchen and many more can be found! It is for this very reason that we have taken the greatest care in selecting an unparalleled line-up of experts to present these Keynote addresses to you.

This diverse group of renowned Software Engineering professionals will, more than likely, spark the inner flame of a passion for your trade and your academic endeavors, a passion which may have been hidden away below a stack of dusty school books. As for their academic worth, Keynotes have been described by past attendees as being like a potent dose of knowledge which packs as much of an "academic punch" as a full semester's worth of classes.

Corporate Speakers

The Corporate presentation will help you close the loop. These real-world presentations are meant to help you put your knowledge and skills to practical use. Corporate presentations often come packed with a soft and creamy core of innovative knowledge and of sound research foundations!

The companies which have presented at CUSEC in the past are some of the best known companies in the field: IBM, SAP, EA, Autodesk and more! Be sure not to miss any of these presentations! Who knows, you just might meet the employer of your dreams on the conference hall floor!

Academic Speakers

The Academic presentation is the primary vector through which fundamental research knowledge reaches the ears of the CUSEC community. Academic presentations have always had a very special place at CUSEC. The conference itself was issued from the intellectually bubbling academic environment of a university campus.

So we will continue to host a great number of Academic presentations which will be given by some of the best known minds in Software Engineering academia! Professors of the likes of Dr. Peter Grogono from Concordia University, Dr. Pierre N. Robillard from L'École Polytechnique de Montréal, Dr. Timothy C. Lethbridge from Ottawa University, and many more have presented at CUSEC! We are certain that this year's academic line-up will dazzle you just as much as we have been dazzled by their past presenting peers!

We sincerely hope that these descriptions of the events taking place at CUSEC will encourage you to come and join us, here in Montreal, to learn and share with fellow Software Engineers at CUSEC 2007.
